Ferrari Enzo

For years, the company produced by Enzo Ferrari, an Italian motor racing driver and entrepreneur, has served the car industry by producing quality cars that made a huge impact inside and outside the car industry.
To commemorate Ferrari's first formula one title of the new millennium, a car named after Ferrari Enzo was built and produced in 2002 using Formula One technology, such as a carbon-fibre body, F1-style electrohydraulic shift transmission, and Carbon Fibre reinforced Silicon Carbide (C/SiC)ceramic composite disc brakes. This car, the Ferrari Enzo not only became a car of commemoration to its founder and formula one title, but also was the mark of the beginning for a new generation of V12 engine for the Ferrari.
The Ferrari Enzo was designed by Japanese Former Pininfarina head designer, ‘Ken Okuyama’ and was announced at the 2002 Paris Motor Show to be produced with a limit of 349 cars costing US $659,330. The Company gave invitations to past customers who already bought the F40 and F50 Model and all 349 cars were sold like this before production even began. Before being unveiled at the Motor Show, Ferrari Enzo was flown from Italy to California to be filmed at ‘Charlie’s Angel: Full Throttle’ and was driven by ‘Demi Moore’. Afterwards it was flown to France for the Motor Show. Due to popular demand for the Enzo, 50 more models were made and sold. In 2004, the last model of the Ferrari Enzo which was the 400th one since its production, was built and given as a charity to the Vatican. It was sold at US $1.1 Million at Sotheby’s Auction.
The Enzo runs with a Semi automatic transmission and can reach a quarter mile within 11 seconds. It was tested that the top speed of the Ferrari Enzo can reach up to 355 Kph. After the Ferrari Enzo’s production, many cars were built with it being their inspiration.
Thousands of Cars are produced by many companies but only a few become legends and carve their designs for eternity in the automobile industry. The Ferrari Enzo proves this statement, not only introducing its model to the world, but also its company and its founder.
